The painting is built by a typical
process of sensing of the material, spontaneous discoveries
of shapes, influences of moods and renewed criticism of all
stages of the process of renewed covering.
Yohai Albert tends to end his work
with a small number of semi-abstract images, they grow out
of the abstract space, and as if they are wrapped around him.
In the images he creates human axis of relativity in space
as if externalizes the process between him and the paper and
he transfers it to the painted images.
In contrast to the colorful, rich
and direct approach which characterizes most of the pictures,
there is exhibited in the exhibition a limited different series
in which there is a process of covering layers from the dark
to the light. When the upper white layer succeeds to reflect
(despite the complicated material) the colorfulness of the
preceding layers, and even the basic form of the structure.
Also through this way of painting which is naturally implied
and demands from the spectator a stronger involvement in order
to absorb it's values, Albert transfers his inner struggles
through the material in a very persuasive way.
